History
The Springfield Vineyard existed for three years before Tim Stagner joined the church as pastor. After serving on the pastoral team of the Vineyard in Rolla, Mo., Tim was excited to return to Springfield where he attended college. He and his wife, Heidi, moved here in October, 2001.
We gathered for years in the James River Center at 5335 S. Campbell but prayed for an opening to minister in downtown Springfield, where we felt especially called to serve. Our church’s presence downtown started with the Belmonte, a community that met first on Park Central East and then on Commercial Street. In 2008, God answered our prayers to move downtown. We purchased the building at 634 W. Wall St (facing Main St) and started our worship gatherings there in September.
Church attendance has grown over the years as we continue to develop as a community and expand the ways in which we serve our city. We hope, through God’s help, to bring spiritual, physical, emotional, and relational healing to the people of Springfield. We want to glorify God as we worship him, love each other, and serve the needs of our city.
